They’ve been called winsome, odd, and melancholy, but Neil Tenant and Chris Lowe, aka Pet Shop Boys, can never be accused of being boring. It’s hard to imagine that their chance meeting at an electronics shop on London’s Kings Road, in 1981, would lead to international pop stardom, legions of fans, and album sales in excess of 100 million units worldwide.
